Fun at a pre-fireworks picnic!

We LOVE our new neighborhood! One great family that we've become friends with has 4 boys and 1 girl (Meredith is exactly 1 month younger then our boys) and hosted a picnic/bbq tonight with lots of neighbors and their children. It was loud, crazy, kids running EVERYWHERE, but so much fun. We had the boys up a little later then they are usually up, but it was worth it-- they had fun playing with all their new friends. We left before the fireworks started (the country club right next to us is having fireworks at dark)to get the boys into bed and are hoping that maybe we can see them from our front lawn. What a fun party!

Scott & Shirley visit!

Ryan's parent's good friends Scott and Shirley are doing a 3 week tour of the East Coast and stopped today at our house. They got a chance to see the boys in action, help feed them dinner, go through our night-time routine with them, and then once they were in bed, we had a great bbq out on our back porch. We LOVE having visitors, especially from California (hint hint all of our friends back in CA!). It was great to see them and catch up!

We certainly think that the Phillies need some extra cheering to get them back on track....so the boys wore their cute Phillies gear today from Uncle Kevin.

Today we went to my parents house for an afternoon of swimming. My grandparents and granddmom came over too for a fun day.

Let me out of here!

We now have a new door (thanks Mom & Dad!!) that the boys can look out onto our side porch and the street. They love looking for cars going by. Here is a short video of Drew & Danny banging away at the door and "talking" to each other.

Babies, babies, babies! (not mine!)

This post has absolutely nothing to do with the boys, but I just have to write to say how excited I get every time I hear one of my friends is pregnant! We have quite a long list right now of friends who are expecting or who just had babies!! Just wanted to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to all my girls! You are/will be the BEST moms!!

Caught in the rain....

Today on our walk we got caught in a rainstorm! It suddenly started to downpour! Out of nowhere Ryan zooms up in the Tahoe ready to throw us all in the car and leave the wagon on the side of the street for later....but we were around the corner, so the boys told him to just meet us at home---we'd brave the storm! We were all soaked by the time we got back, but it was a warm rain and it felt good! The boys actually enjoyed our little mid-afternoon shower!





As a treat--I cut up an orange popsicle and put it in their little suckers. Yum!

Father's Day in Ocean City!

Happy Father's Day! To celebrate, we took the boys for a quick trip down the shore. We jammed packed lots of activities into our trip and the boys did great!
First, Ryan & I decided to take the boys to the beach. After taking a good 45 minutes getting everyone dressed, doused with sunscreen, plus packing up all our beach gear, we made it a good 15-20 minutes on the actual beach before Ryan and I looked at each other and said, "Time to head home!" You will see from the pictures that Andrew LOVED the beach. Couldn't be happier in his little hat, sunglasses, and his new beach toys. Yes, he was covered in sand, ate some sand, but he remained happy. Danny on the other hand was not into the the sand at all and pretty much wanted to be held the whole time (which is why no pictures of him on the beach!). Dylan was ok in the sand but really liked looking at the water when Ryan took him down to the edge. We definitely caused quite a scene!
