Merry Christmas!

During the middle of the night Andrew woke up with a fever and was up most of the night tossing and turning, unable to get comfortable despite the Tylenol. He was up early around 6am just laying there with me which was how I heard Danny make some sounds in his room around 6:30am. I ran into his room, scooped him up,and we made it JUST in time for him to throw up into the toilet. I was cleaning him up, when Andrew fell back asleep in his own bed. Then Dylan woke up and was dying to go downstairs, but I had to tell him to wait so Andrew could get a little rest. What a crazy morning. So I had Dylan in our bed watching TV, Danny in our bed with a bucket next to him and a washcloth on his face, and Andrew back asleep in his room. Finally Andrew woke up and we all went downstairs to see if Santa had come. He did, and Dylan was the only one gung-ho ready to open presents. Andrew and Dan opened a few, then both took to the couch and fell asleep again, leaving all their presents in a pile and Dylan begging us to let him "help" his brothers by opening all their gifts too. Ha! Finally they got a second wind and finished opening their presents in the afternoon. Dylan and Ryan went to my parents for dinner and Dan, Andrew & I stayed here and watched episode after episode of Scooby Doo. It was sad to see the boys so sick for Christmas, when they had been SO looking forward to it. Boys are still sick now....hopefully they get better soon (school starts again Jan. 2nd!)

Christmas Eve

Danny woke up on Christmas Eve with a fever and had one most of the day, so we had to change our original plans. We had a restful day instead. The boys got to open a present from Gramma, Grampa, Aunt Beth, Uncle Greg & Aunt Jill...a new foosball table! We still made our "make your own pizzas" with my parents but already the boys did not have much appetite to actually eat the pizza. They got to open some presents from Grandmother and Granddad including an ipad which they were super-excited for. After baths, they put out milk and cookies for Santa, and we had a little family present time under the Christmas tree. The boys did some shopping at school in their "Secret Santa" shop and were very excited to give us some gifts. Ryan got some "#1Dad" golf ball and tees from Dylan & Andrew (they picked the same gift, shopping at different times!) and Danny gave him a pocket screwdriver. Dylan gave me a lovely circle necklace, Andrew gave me a rainbow colored bracelet (that says "sister" on it,so funny) that he is SO PROUD of, and Danny gave me a little rose topiary. Then they got to open a few gifts from us that were under the tree. We ended the day listening to Mom-Mom "reading" the Night Before Christmas book. They fell asleep fast waiting for Santa.

Philly Pops

What an afternoon! My parents took us downtown to the Kimmel Center to see the Philly Pops Holiday Show. It was the famous Peter Nero's last few shows before he retires so we were so lucky to see him. One of the best parts was our seats...we were in a box right above the orchestra!!! It was amazing to look right down over top of everything!!! They were clearly the very best seats in the entire place!! Made the whole experience even more amazing! We were all mesmerized by the beautiful music and choirs. Perfect way to get ready for Christmas!

Santa on his firetruck

We always love when we see Santa on his firetruck! Ho ho ho!
