Carving pumpkins

We had so many pumpkins to carve and the boys were a big help this year. They had fun scooping out all the insides of the pumpkins and helping Dad to design the faces they wanted. The jack-o-lanterns turned out great!

Halloween parade and school party

And here they are....3 crayons! Yes, that is what the boys wanted to be for Halloween this year even after pouring through tons and tons of different costume catalogs. I saw crayon costumes in the catalogs and in stores, but decided to try to make them instead. So here is your first look at the homemade crayon costumes. Danny was the blue crayon, Dylan was the yellow crayon, and Andrew was the red crayon. We were the only crayons at school today! Lots of super-heros and princesses, so we definitely stood out!

The parade they do at school benefits Unicef, so as they parade around the gym, they hold a little box and parents give out change into the box. The parade was very chaotic and sort of a free-for-all with parents stopping to take pictures, lines not moving, etc, but it was still cute. Then they had 3 classes sit down together on the floor and sing some Halloween songs.

Afterwards, all the kids went to their classrooms for their parties. The boys made Halloween bracelets and then had lots of good treats. It was a fun day and the first of many school parties!
