How we spend our day...

Wake up between 6am-6:45am
Bottle at 7am
Then we PLAY! I rotate the boys through a variety of things during the day.... For example, we might practice sitting in our Bumbo seat and playing with our stage that Aunt Bethy got them. Here's Danny playing with it.

Or I might rotate them through one of three exersaucers we have (Thanks Morgan & Mackenzie and Tyler & Nolan for letting us borrow yours!) or in their Jumperoo. Here's Andrew playing in an exersaucer.

Then we have Oatmeal & Fruit between 8:15am-8:30am. Then the boys go down for a nap around 9am.
They wake up between 10:30am-11am.
Bottles again at 11am.
Then we PLAY again.
I rotate the boys through tummy time with a blanket on the floor. Here's Dylan playing on his tummy.

Sometime the boys just need some down time when they get over-stimulated and they enjoy laying under their ladybug light and tugging on their rings. Here's Danny hanging out on his playmat.

At noon they get some veggies (which they absolutely LOVE! maybe even more then fruit?! --I think green beans might be their favorite!)
1pm is nap time again...they sleep until anytime between 2pm and 3pm.
Bottles again at 3pm....
And then we PLAY!
I always make sure I spend time with each of the boys reading. I pick a few books each day next to my chair and whenever I have a chance, I read those particular books to the boys throughout the day. Then at night, I switch the books next to my chair and put different ones out--that way I can get through all the books in my collection and the boys hear new stories each day. One book that stays their EVERY DAY is their "How Big is Baby Elmo?" book from Nicole & Will. It is torn apart because they love it so much and we must read it 10 times a day. Here is Andrew reading his "colors" book.

Rice Cereal around 5pm
Baths around 5:45ish
And now we're starting to give them their bottles WHILE watching their nursery rhymes so that they are awake when they finish their bottles and we can put them in their cribs awake. This is a new thing for the boys--we are trying to "sleep train" them to fall asleep in their cribs and sleep through the night. So far, they have been doing great with the falling asleep part, but Danny & Drew have been waking up at various times through the night crying....Ryan and I go in to reassure them they are ok and we're still here, but we don't pick them up. Eventually they fall back asleep but it is very hard for me to listen to! It's been a few days now and it's getting better--I think they are learning!
That is our BUSY day in a nutshell! They keep me on my toes!! But they are so good and so fun! They now LOVE to interact with eachother and "talk" to eachother from one exersaucer to the other. Amazing to watch!

We're moved in!!!!!!!!!!!!

The boys & I moved into our new house on Sunday! After months of planning we're finally here! I set up the living room to be the "play room" so the boys could have their own room with all their things--it's absolutely perfect!

Here's a self-timer picture of the boys in their playroom about 5 minutes after my parents pulled away....

The boys love their new house!

Ryan and I are getting used to the house! We love that there is more then one bathroom!!! There are, however, a few quirky things that we just have to laugh at!
For example, take a look at the master bathroom sink. In the far right corner there is a sprayer! For washing hair in the sink??? For washing dirty dishes upstairs???

We got a kick out of the dining room chandelier--love the scrunchy! In case you need to tie back your hair at the dining room table???

Built-in blender right on top of the kitchen counter! Well--the bottom parts are built in but there is no blender-pitcher part to go with it! Who knew I could google "NuTone" and actually see pictures of the blender put together? Must have been great for some quick margaritas!

All in all we love the house and can't wait to have everyone over to see it and to hang out with the boys!

Pre-Thanksgiving night out!

This was the 15th year that my high school friends have gotten together for dinner the night before Thanksgiving. In recent years I have been just a little too far away to join them, so I was so excited to be back for the big 15th year dinner! We started the night at our new house for dinner and then met up with all the guys for a fun night out in Manayunk.

How am I so blessed?

Erin-Thanks for letting me know about Ryan's little surprise blog entry! I had no idea!
Here I am, another year older, and in the mood to reflect. It was exactly one year ago today that I had a half day at school and Ryan & I made another doctor's appointment. We thought we'd breeze in and out and then go meet his parents for a little birthday dinner. I will never forget laying there and seeing the look on Ryan's face when they told us that there were 3 babies, not 2. I thought that nothing could top my 30th birthday last year, finding out that amazing, incredible news. Well, here I am one year later, with the most wonderful husband and now three healthy, beautiful 6 and a half month old boys. It was that silly "baby b" (or Andrew as we now like to call him) that was hiding behind his brother Danny that was our surprise! These boys bring me such joy every day--I just think how blessed I am to have all three of them in my life. Of course I am a littled prejudiced, but I think they are the smartest and cutest babies ever!! I am so lucky to get 3 times the amount of hugs, kisses, little laughs! So while I thought that my 30th was great finding out that there were 3 babies, this one was much better---they were actually HERE with me to celebrate! I am coming to realize that each subsequent birthday will only get better as I get to watch our boys grow! How blessed am I (times 3!!)

My loves!

Mommy's Birthday

Well folks, for those that don't know, today is Kim's Birthday. She has no clue that I am posting and I can't wait for the moment when she realizes I have hacked into the blog. ;-)

After my cross country trip with my dad and the dogs I have been staying at our new home and doing my best to get things organized before the boys move in later this week. Kim came over today and I took her to lunch, one of her favorite diners she used to frequent while she was in High School. The place called Brunos is about 3 minutes from our house. It was pretty darn good. She had a BLT and an ice cream soda and I had a grilled ham and cheese with onion rings. She even forced me to try her ice cream soda and I'd actually think about getting one next time. I'm sure we'll see our share of Brunos over the weeks, months, and years.

I know this blog is for the boys but today it's all about Kim. She continues to do such an unbelievable job with Dan, Drew, and Dyl and every minute that goes by I am so proud to be her husband. This will be the 10th birthday I have celebrated with Kim (email me and I'll tell you about her 21st birthday) and I love her so much. Happy Birthday hon.

Since no blog would be complete without pics, I have searched my laptop for some real winners of my beautiful wife. Enjoy! RC
This is us getting on our cruise in Dec '05.

Grandpa & the boys

Ryan's dad drove across country with him (and the dogs!) and helped us unpack our POD. Today before he flew back to California, he came over to my parent's house to spend some more time with the boys. He couldn't believe how BIG they are!

Boys visit their new house!

My mom & I drove down to the new house today so we could take the boys (and her!) on a tour of the house!! They all loved the house!

Successful carpet cleaning today! Comcast came and got tv cables and internet all set up. My car got delivered today too! We did more cleaning and organizing today, what a process. The carpets should be dried by tomorrow, so that Ryan & his dad can begin to unpack. I think my plan of attack tomorrow will be the kitchen...cleaning out cabinets, etc and maybe even putting some things away! We'll see :)
