Dylan is sick!

We could tell that Dylan was not himself all weekend, but we also knew he was getting 2 new teeth, and thought that was what was wrong. But on Monday morning he woke up before 5am screaming, and I knew that there was something else not right. He had a fever (which he had on/off all weekend) and thankfully we were able to get him a doctor's appointment early in the morning. Turns out that has an ear infection in one ear. Hard to believe, but this is the first ear infection that any of the boys have had (or at least that we knew about!) The doctor put him on amoxicillin for 10 days. We thought that was it....and the medicine would start to make him feel a little better in a couple of days. However when we woke up today Dylan had a rash all over his stomach and back. At first we thought it was a reaction to the medicine, but it looked strangly similar to the roseola that Andrew had over a month ago (fever then rash). Back to the doctors and yes, roseola on top of an ear infection is the diagnosis. Yuck. Dylan was not a happy camper today, hardly ate much, but seemed better after he had a little dinner. We hope he sleeps well tonight and will start to feel better tomorrow!

Christmas morning videos

Here are a few videos of our Christmas morning!

This first one is of the boys right as they get downstairs and begin to check out the room and all the new things....

This second video continues as the boys check out the new toys (but with the light on!)

Here is Andrew testing out his new trike (thanks Aunt Beth!)

Merry Christmas!

We wish you a Merry Christmas! Love, Danny, Drew & Dylan

Christmas night

Later this afternoon we took the boys to my parents house for dinner.

Christine plays with Drew and his new toy...pound the balls!

Danny likes it too

Danny loves Great-Granddad's musical tie

Dylan likes to play too

Kevin & Colleen

Me-Mom and Mom-Mom

Aunt Kathy & Danny play the piano

Austin, Aunt Kathy, Larry, Ryan

All eyes on the boys!

The boys loved Aunt Mary's special Christmas cookies

Kevin & Larry

We put lots of toys in the kitchen for the boys to play with so that we could eat our dinner.....

That didn't long...they were in the dining room by grace

Danny got some ice-cream for dessert

Christmas morning

Oh what a fun morning the five of us had! The boys were up and ready to go downstairs to see if Santa came....and he did! A big thank you to all who made our Christmas morning so special---there were gifts to open from Aunt Beth, Aunt Jill & Uncle Jason, Gramma & Grampa, The Gamlens, Uncle Chris & Aunt Kristi, Grandmother & Granddad, and Mom-Mom & Great-Granddad. So many things to open!!
Oooo, here we come....

Let's go downstairs!

Santa did come!

The boys run in to get their first look

Wow! A new trike!

After checking everything out, we headed in for some breakfast, then got changed to open some more presents and play!
Drew and the stacking/nesting wooden blocks

Dylan with a special message on the aqua-doodle

Drew & Dylan read a new book

Danny loves trucks

Andrew is obsessed with microwaves, so naturally we got him his own (he spent the morning "cooking" a (plastic) baked potato)

Hmm, not sure that is how we will use the easel, we'll have to work on that...some great artwork will be coming soon!

The boys LOVE their new shopping cart (especially all the pretend food!)

A NASCAR hauler

Wow, a bubble machine! They come out much faster then what Mommy can do!

Some more blocks

Hard to tell who loves the bounce-house more? The boys (check out their ear to ear grins--while getting some air!) or Mommy (who loves to see these active guys get tired out!)
Jumper Dylan

Jumper Drew

Jumper Danny

Andrew rides the pony

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

We attempted to go to a 4pm children's Mass at St. Philips, however by the time we got there (we thought sending my parents over at 3:30 would get us a seat....)it was beyond standing room only. We were completely squished and it was about a bizillion degrees with everyone so packed, so we said a quick prayer and headed home.
The boys got to play and open a few presents. Ryan and I have our new family tradition of making our own pizzas on Christmas Eve, so he made one for the boys for their dinner (they loved it!) and after they went to bed (with visions of Santa Claus dancing in their heads) we all made our own pizzas. It was so much fun!

Komelasky family annual Christmas brunch

Today was my family's big Christmas brunch at Spring Mill. Thankfully the ice & snow weren't too bad and everyone was able to get there! What a difference from last year....the boys were only 7 months and completely overwhelmed with so many new people--and cried the entire time. This year, the boys were loving all the great decorations and ran around like crazy. It was really fun to see so many of our family and friends--and the perfect way to start off Christmas week!

Our family!!!!

Hi Dylan!

Handsome Danny

Big man Drew

It was amazing...the boys all sat down to eat brunch!
Dylan seemed to enjoy the blueberry muffin and bacon the best....

Danny had some scrambled eggs and strawberries

Andrew loved using the big boy fork!

Great-Granddad sat with Andrew and helped him eat

Uncle Kevin & Dylan

Danny on the run!

Danny takes a little break after all that running

Dylan

There were lots of twins there today! Colleen & Tim brought Logan and Tegan (soo cute!) and Mr. & Mrs. Poprik brought their granddaughters Lauren & Jessica who are just a little older then the boys.
Let's play ring-around-the-rosie!!! Come on everyone!

Here we go...

Only Jessica & Dylan "fall down!"

Santa (a.k.a my dad!) even made an appearance.
Danny was not too excited to sit on Santa's lap...

But Dylan seemed very intrigued by Santa...

And Andrew...well, he was not really into Santa either, despite him kissing Santa's picture at home. We tried! Maybe next year!
