Fishing with Gramma & Grampa
After spending some time in DC Gramma and Grampa took the train up to see us! Ryan found a pond that is stocked with fish...so we decided to try it out! We were the only people there and everyone caught at least one fish!
Dylan caught the first fish!
Danny caught the next fish!!
Andrew caught a nice fish too!
But it was Gramma who caught the real winner of the day...a catfish! The boys couldn't get over the whiskers!
Thanks for coming to visit us Gramma & Grampa!
We'll see you in August!

End of the year Olympic-theme party!
Some cute pictures from our Olympic party!
We had tons of great red, white and blue food! Here were two treats that I made...red, white and blue fruit kabobs and some chocolate covered pretzel sticks. Yum! Both a big hit with the kids!
Had the teacher divide them up into red, white and blue teams and come to school in their team "color". The kids rotated game stations with their "team". The first one was the Javelin (throwing a rocket through a hoop).
Next up was the Balance Beam!
They loved the egg/spoon races!
Sack Races (see video at the end....hilareous!)
Hurdles was up next. We set up small cardboard blocks for the teams to jump over. After they finished doing that, they had to jump over them "like a frog", jump over them "holding hands" with a partner, etc. It was really funny to watch this station!
The last station was a non-athletic bubble station. The kids had fun taking a break and just blowing some bubbles!
After the class got a chance to rotate through all the game stations, we had our medal ceremony. Each child got a medal and a flag. We all sung the Star Spangled Banner. So cute!
I brought lots of sheets to spread out for a picnic style snack time.
Next up...WATER BALOONS of course!!
And we had popsicles before everyone left! Good thing it was such a beautiful day outside!!
And a video of the sack races!
