We got over to Aunt Kathy and Uncle Larry's house around 3:30pm with our car filled with cooking tools--oil and Ryan's deep fryer....plus a few surprises that we could fry besides the turkey. The boys had fun playing in the game room, with Austin's cool trucks, and doing art work in Christine's room. Ryan set up outside in the driveway....under an umbrella this year due to the rain! He deep fried some yummy shrimp, 2 turkeys, and even some oreos for dessert! It was a packed house, but so fun to have everyone together....especially all the great-grandchildren---Dylan, Andrew, Danny, Sydney and Lily!
We had a delicious dinner (boys did not eat much, just wanted to play! soon they will learn that this is one of the best dinners all year!) and the boys decided that dessert sounded right up their alley--so ice-cream it was.
It was a special day to take some time and think about all the things we have to be thankful for---especially such a great family here and in California!
